It’s been nearly three years since the death of Pimp C, but his legacy will always carry on, especially if Bun B is still around.

UGK personifies southern rap and Bun B has been quickly climbing the ranks as one of the top rappers in the game today.  If Pimp C was still alive, it’s hard to imagine just how powerful the duo would have become.

The Naked Soul of Sweet James Jones is Pimp’s third studio album, and hit stores on October 5th, 2010.  Through Bun B’s most recent project, the Trill OG album, released August 4th, 2010, he was able to promote Pimp’s final album.  Bun B did a ton of production, as well as vocals, on the album, which is sure to be one of the best posthumous albums of all time behind Tupac and Notorious B.I.G.

Pimp C’s posthumous album has already earned a 4.81 rating on hiphopdx.com.  Be sure not to miss the following singles:

Down 4 Mine

Love 2 Ball ft. Chamillionaire

Midnight ft. Rick Ross and Slim Thug (produced by David Banner)

A more in depth review and sales report for The Naked Soul of Sweet James Jones is coming soon.
